This 2-hour course is one in a series of courses, designed to offer participants an opportunity to take a deep dive into the HCBS Final Rule. Some participants will take this course because they are required to implement the federal requirements of the HCBS Final Rule; others will take this course to learn about how to support people in achieving better lives. Thus, this course and the best practices that it supports will live on long after the March 2023 deadline for “compliance”, and even in environments that are not required to adhere to the federal requirements outlined in this series.
Here, participants will review federal requirement #9 - which centers around the right to visitors.
Following each benchmark requirement of this federal rule, Essential CEU instructor(s) will present opportunities for daily practice, inclusion in report writing, and also suggested revisions to one’s program design.
