About this course

Why it matters

This 3-hour ONLINE course is designed to orient participants who work in [or are interested in] Title 22 regulations that refer to the Reasonable and Prudent Parent Standard – which we call “RPPS”. The course is also helpful for those who support minors and non-dependent adults across the continuum of care and who wish to achieve the ever-important balance between needs and preferences of youth. This course also meets approval under "law and regulations" for California GH or STRTP Administrators.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

- Define the reasonable and prudent parent standard

- Identify age groups and environments to which the RPPS applies

- Differentiate between individual rights and RPPS responsibilities

- Identify “grey areas” that make the application of RPPS more difficult to implement
