Cultural Competence,

This 2-hour course is designed to enhance participant learning about topics that include cultural competence, cultural humility, and implicit bias. As a lifelong learning model, the strengths and weaknesses of the culturally humble are evaluated. This course helps to bridge the gap and make connections between cultural humility, person-centered support, positive behavioral support and trauma-informed care.

*EBSH and CCH providers in California: This course assists with meeting Title 17 annual training requirements and categories for all levels of staff. HOWEVER, please note that this content is NOT approved as a "regulations course".

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Define and differentiate cultural competence and cultural humility

• Identify examples of protected classes -- across both employment and support models

• Discuss examples of opportunities to practice cultural humility across the continuum of care
