- Discuss clothing options and preparations that can reduce risk and discomfort during hot weather
- Discuss basic animal safety in hot weather and direct sunlight conditions
- Name the benefits of sunscreen use and strategies for increase its use across settings.
- Discuss hydration recommendations
- Name at least two heat-safe foods and/or food preparation practices
- Identify at least two activities or settings that are available to beat the heat
- Name at least two methods of making indoor temperatures more tolerable in hot weather months
- Identify signs of dehydration, heat stroke and heat illness
